Oilfield Shop BuildingsTruck shops, equipment shops & office-warehouses in the Permian Basin

Metal shop buildings, truck and equipment shops, warehouses and office-warehouse buildings for oilfield companies in Odessa, Midland and across the Permian Basin.

Permian Basin Oilfield Buildings

Shops built for oilfield work.

An oilfield shop has a hard job. Loaded trucks roll in every day, equipment needs height and room, and the office has to work alongside the bays. Gorilla Builders TX builds metal shop buildings and warehouses for oilfield service companies and contractors across Odessa, Midland and the Permian Basin.

We handle the dirt work, the slab, the steel, overhead cranes, wash bays and office finish-out under one contractor, so the pad, the foundation and the building are planned around how your crews actually use the shop.

Planning a Working Shop

Get these right before the building is engineered.

  • Your biggest unit. Length, height and turning room of the largest truck or rig set the bay size, door size and eave height.
  • Overhead doors. Drive-through bays and large doors change the framing design, so decide sizes and locations first.
  • Overhead cranes. We build overhead cranes into shops. Crane capacity sets the eave height and structure, so plan it now, even if the crane comes later.
  • Wash bays. We build wash bays too. Drainage and slab slope are designed in before the pour.
  • Heavy-load slab. Loaded trucks, trench drains and equipment pads all affect the slab design.
  • The office. Where the office sits and how big it is affects the layout, doors and openings.
  • Heat. Roof and wall insulation make a big difference in a shop people work in all summer.
  • Access and drainage. Truck access, pad elevation and drainage keep the yard usable after a West Texas storm.
FAQ

Oilfield shop building questions.

Do you build oilfield buildings in Midland and Odessa?

Yes. We build oilfield service shops, truck and equipment shops, warehouses and yard buildings in Odessa, Midland and across the Permian Basin, including Andrews, Big Spring, Monahans, Kermit, Pecos, Crane, Seminole, Stanton and Fort Stockton. Projects in Hobbs and southeastern New Mexico are considered case by case.

Can I put an office inside a metal building?

Yes. Gorilla Builders TX builds metal buildings with offices and does the office finish-out inside the building. The office is planned into the layout, doors and openings from the start.

What size shop do I need?

Start with your biggest truck or piece of equipment: its length, height and how it needs to turn. Add work space around it, room for parts and tools, and room to grow. We’ll help you size the building, eave height and doors.

Do you pour the slab for the shop too?

Yes. The slab, footings and anchor bolts are built to the building’s engineering, with heavier slab areas, trench drains and equipment pads planned in where you need them.

Can you add cranes or wash bays?

Yes. Gorilla Builders TX builds shops with overhead cranes and wash bays. Both affect the building design, eave height and slab, so they’re planned in from the start of your project.

What does an oilfield shop building cost?

It depends on size, eave height, doors, office space, slab design and the site. See what drives metal building cost, then send your size for a free quote.
